Fire cider used: Herbs & Honey
A dirty martini gets its salty edge from olive brine. We swap in some of our Herbs & Honey fire cider for half the brine, which brings horseradish, garlic, thyme and a little orange along with it. It's shaken ice cold and served with plenty of olives, so it's saltier and bolder than our gin Gibson.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1/4 ounce dry vermouth
- 1/4 ounce Fire Cider: Herbs & Honey, shaken well
- 1/4 ounce olive brine (from the olive jar)
- Ice
- 3 green olives on a pick (blue cheese stuffed olives are great here)
Glass and garnish
Chilled martini glass, three olives on a pick.
Steps
- Add the vodka, vermouth, fire cider and olive brine to a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake hard for about 15 seconds, until the shaker is painfully cold.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Add the olives.
Tips
- Want it dirtier? Add more olive brine, not more fire cider, so the drink stays balanced.
- Refrigerate fire cider after opening, and shake it every time you pour.
