Fire cider used: Heat & Honey | Honey used: Hot Honey

A lemon drop is sweet, sour and bright. This one gets a little heat on both sides: our Hot Honey sweetens it, and a splash of Heat & Honey fire cider adds the spice and tang. It's the fun one of the bunch.

Serves 1 | Prep 5 min

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce Hot Honey syrup (stir 1/4 cup Hot Honey into 1/4 cup warm water until it dissolves, then cool)
  • 1/4 ounce Fire Cider: Heat & Honey, shaken well
  • Ice
  • A lemon wheel, and sugar for the rim (optional)

Glass and garnish

Chilled coupe, optional sugar rim, lemon wheel.

Steps

  1. If you want a sugar rim, run a lemon wedge around the rim of a coupe and dip it in sugar.
  2. Add the vodka, lemon juice, honey syrup and fire cider to a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake hard for about 12 seconds.
  4. Strain into the coupe and float the lemon wheel on top.

Tips

  • Taste before you serve. Add a little more Hot Honey syrup for more sweetness and heat, or more lemon to brighten it.
  • Refrigerate fire cider after opening, and shake it every time you pour.
