Fire cider used: Berries, Florals & Honey | Honey used: Whiskey Barrel Aged Honey

When we have a houseful for the holidays I want one big pitcher, not a bar to tend. Fresh apple cider, bourbon, our Berries, Florals & Honey fire cider for cinnamon, clove and orange, and a little barrel aged honey syrup. Mix it ahead and add the bubbles when people walk in.

Serves 8 | Prep 10 min | Chill 1 hour

Whiskey Barrel Aged Honey syrup for the bourbon drinks

Stir 1/4 cup Whiskey Barrel Aged Honey into 1/4 cup warm water until it dissolves. Let it cool before using. It keeps in a covered jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Please enjoy responsibly. 21+ only.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (12 ounces) bourbon (we recommend Tarnished Truth Bourbon)
  • 3 cups fresh sweet apple cider (the juice, not apple cider vinegar)
  • 1/2 cup Fire Cider: Berries, Florals & Honey, shaken well
  • 1/4 cup Whiskey Barrel Aged Honey syrup (recipe above)
  • 1 cup chilled sparkling water, added right before serving
  • Ice, apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and an orange wheel or two

Glass and garnish

Rocks glasses or punch cups, apple slice, cinnamon stick.

Steps

  1. In a large pitcher, stir together the bourbon, apple cider, fire cider and honey syrup.
  2. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
  3. Right before serving, stir in the sparkling water and add the apple slices and orange wheels.
  4. Pour over ice in each glass and add a cinnamon stick.

Tips

  • Make ahead: mix everything except the sparkling water and keep it covered in the fridge for up to 1 day.
  • Taste once it's cold, and add a little more honey syrup or fire cider to your liking.
  • Refrigerate fire cider after opening, and shake it every time you pour.
