Fire cider used: Herbs & Honey | Honey used: Whiskey Barrel Aged Honey

This is the one I want on a cold night after chores. Our Herbs & Honey fire cider brings orange, ginger, thyme and a little horseradish bite, so you don't need extra lemon. A spoon of barrel aged honey and hot water finish it off.

Serves 1 | Prep 5 min

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon (we recommend Tarnished Truth Bourbon)
  • 1/2 ounce Fire Cider: Herbs & Honey, shaken well
  • 2 teaspoons Whiskey Barrel Aged Honey
  • 4 ounces hot water (just off the boil)
  • A lemon wheel and a cinnamon stick

Glass and garnish

Heatproof mug, lemon wheel, cinnamon stick.

Steps

  1. Warm a mug by filling it with hot water, then pour that water out.
  2. Add the honey and a splash of the hot water and stir until the honey melts.
  3. Add the bourbon, fire cider and the rest of the hot water and stir.
  4. Taste, and add a little more honey or fire cider if you like.

Tips

  • Want it spicier? Swap in Fire Cider: Heat & Honey and start with 1/4 ounce.
  • Refrigerate fire cider after opening, and shake it every time you pour.
