Virginia Honey Flight: Three 6 oz Jars from the Farm

Honey tastes like "place". That is one of my favorite things about it, and it is the whole reason I created the VA Honey Flight.

Most people grow up thinking honey is one flavor. Grocery clover. Something mild you put in tea. Then you open a jar that comes from Virginia frames and the story changes. Forest is not meadow. Spring is not summer. Sourwood is its own thing. A flight is how I let someone experience that without buying five full jars first.

Our Virginia Honey Flight is three 6 oz jars of raw Virginia honey and a bamboo dipper. We pack it at the farm in Bremo Bluff. The set is $50. What is inside rotates with what the keepers and the season actually give us. That means the three locations or varietals fluctuate based on the harvest. Come taste what is in the box this week, then go back for the full jar, or jars, you loved.

Why three 6 oz jars

Six ounces is a tasting size. Enough for tea. Enough for a cheese board. Enough for a week of toast. Enough to share. It is not a pantry bucket.

Three of them side by side are where the conversation starts. Open one. Open the next. Use the dipper instead of a kitchen spoon that still smells like peanut butter. Talk about which one you would buy again as a full jar.

We farm 114 acres in Bremo Bluff. You can turn off James Madison Highway and see the operation that packed those jars, just reach out and schedule the farm tour in advance. That is the difference between a flight from a farm and a sampler with a bee sticker.

Order the Flight online. Ship it, or choose farm pickup. If you choose pickup, we will email or text to set the time and look forward to seeing you.

We will post the last holiday ship date once we lock it with the carrier. Until then, order early if it has to arrive somewhere by a specific date.
